This is one in a series of videos where we will be creating a social project in ASP.NET.
In this video i will be adding new fields to the database by creating properties (much easier than creating them in the database itself).
Once we have the database set up we will set up our Edit Profile section where we will be able to view our profile information.
This is setup for Video #2 when we add the functionality of Updating our profile information.

In part 5 of this ASP.NET Social Project i will be showing you how we can check to see if the logged in user is visiting their own profile page or another user's profile.
The Comment Text Box will not be visible if you're viewing your profile page but will be viewable to other profile pages.
The purpose to this is to show you how you can determine what's visible to the user who views their own profile and what's not.

In part2 of this ASP.NET Social Project i changed the Edit Profile page so that your users can view and update their profile information in the same data control.
Than i create a Browse page which will allow users to view all users registered on the site.
I also set up a hyperlink inside the gridview so users can click on the link to view that user's profile (profile created in Video 3)

In part 4 of this ASP.NET Social Project i will be working on a comment feature so that users can leave comments.
I also add the view comments to users and the profile owner can view comments left on their profile.
The way i incorporated this feature was new to me and i just did it on the fly without trying this way before.

In part 3 of this ASP.NET Social Project we add the image control so that we can view the user's profile image in the Edit Profile, the Browse Users page as well as the Profile page.
I create the profile page to display the profile image as well as the profile image which i added.

Networking for programmers
The TV is on so i couldn't record with volume haha but it's all about showing you guys the new site i have been working on for a while now.
It's a social networking website for programmers where they can share their videos, VB projects, websites etc. with other members.
