This "field guide" is the work of Ines Mergel, assistant professor of public administration at Syracuse University, and Bill Greeves, CIO of Wake County, North Carolina (recently topping the list of "most social government CIOs" by Public CIO Magazine).

Airservices Tracks Santa: Social Media Innovation for Government and Public Sector Award Winner.

The 2013 social media campaign ‘Airservices tracks Santa’ aimed to raise awareness of Airservices and its operations. The campaign saw the creation of recruitment-specific content in support of the Santa activities which was hosted on Airservices Santa website and YouTube channel. An all-ages game app, ‘Catch the Reindeer’, was also developed.

The Role of Social Media in Political Communication
